Many times I am told that a friend of a friend is the person who designed a company web site. Sometimes it is an employee of the firm who 'dabbles' in web design. Sometimes it is even the business owner himself.
Just as a sharp knife doesn't make someone a brain surgeon and owning a ten-key calculator doesn't make someone an accountant; Having Microsoft FrontPage on your computer does NOT make you a web designer. This is why you need help when attempting to create or modify your own web site.
Over the years I have experienced first hand how good sites can go bad. In most cases, innocently enough, a business owner or overly eager employee or 'friend' of the business will create or modify a web site and inadvertantly damage it in the process. Stuff happens.
Getting hacked is also a real possiblity. WebGuy hosting has anti-hack measures in place. If your front page changes, we monitor for such changes and alert WebGuy headquarters immediately. A hacked web site can usually be restored from backup instantly.
